Today 17th of Falgun 2065 Namaste Band present’s Maha Shiva Ratri Music Festival 2009 on the occasion of their 20th anniversary. Festival is organized in Pardasani Kendra, Naya bazaar in Pokhara after 5 years. Namaste Band is organizing such a program in every 5 years. This program is inauguration by legend pop singer Deep Shrestha.

About 1000 viewers had enjoyed the program with International and national bands. Entrance ticket is Rs.100. Program started at 1 p.m and it last till 9 p.m. This program was organized in Kathmandu on the day of Shiva Ratri.

People get chance to hear music from international bands like: Kinta Kunte, Jah Taboo, Pilater from Japan; Dan from America. National bands that had performed are: Prism, The Axe, Cob Web, Vhumi, Basanta, Anil Maharjhan project and many more. Solo singer that perform on the day are: Nima Rumba, Bijaya Tamang, Shyamsung Tamang, Udaya and Manila Sotang, Anil Singh, Pramod Nirwan, Deepak Thapa, Deep Shrestha, Om Bikram Bista, Rajesh Payal Rai, Bijaya Lama, Sunil Bardewa and many more. Many head banger get chance to bang their heads with the band Vhumi which one of the most famous underground band in Nepal.

Pokhareli youth honor Ishor Gurung(vocalist of Namaste Band) with Khada. Namaste band give donation of amount Rs.10000 to Pokhereli Kalakar Sang, Nepal. On the behalf of Pokhereli Kalakar Sang, Nepal president Shyamsung Tamang took the donation. The program is successful.
